About Us
A Heart for the Community
Founded in Jacksonville, Florida, Global Relief NEFL emerged from a deep conviction that caring for people means addressing their whole being - body, mind, and spirit.
What started as a small food pantry has grown into a community-wide mission - establishing distribution centers, mentoring those in need, and responding to crises both locally and around the world.
As Jesus said, “the poor you will always have with you.” We believe that to whom much is given, much is required. That's why we work tirelessly to be the hands and feet of compassion in our community and beyond.
What We Do
How We Serve Our Community
We address immediate needs while building pathways to lasting change through food assistance, economic empowerment, and community agency partnerships.
Food Assistance
As a food hub, we assist partnered food pantries to provide meals and groceries to veterans, seniors, people with disabilities, and families facing homelessness or food insecurity in Northeast Florida.
Economic Empowerment
Offering mentorship and resources to help individuals and families build sustainable livelihoods and achieve financial stability. If you're interested in this program, visit If You Believe in Me.
Community Support
Supporting individuals and families with immediate needs and long-term wellbeing through skills training and spiritual care programs. We also serve the Hispanic community through Familia Jax.
Global Impact
Some of our partners regularly send supplies and support to nations in need in the Caribbean. To help achieve these efforts, we help develop volunteer coordination technology for organizations worldwide.
Our Impact
Making a Difference Every Day
For over 14 years, we've served Jacksonville's diverse communities—immigrants, refugees, families of all backgrounds and nations—with open arms. Our heart beats for the poor, the forgotten, and those overlooked by others. None of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers who give their time and compassion every day.
Local Food Distribution
We feed over 2,000 families and individuals monthly through our network of distribution locations across Greater Jacksonville. Our main pantry and satellite locations operate on varying days throughout the week. Food is supplied through partnerships with Feeding Northeast Florida and donations from individuals and local businesses.
Global Impact
We support partners across 70+ countries with training, resources, and emergency assistance. Our president Jose Bosque has developed innovative volunteer coordination methods, now available as an online tool for organizations to manage volunteers and operations.
Crisis Response
We provide emergency food assistance and support to individuals and families affected by crises—whether natural disasters, pandemics, or personal emergencies like house fires or job loss.
